About Us

What is CarWarrantySavings.com?

CarWarrantySavings.com is an online auto warranty marketplace. We let you compare extended auto warranty plans from top providers and buy online with expert support available every step of the way.

How do you make money?

We earn a referral fee from warranty providers when you purchase a plan through our site. This fee is already factored into the prices shown โ€” we never add hidden markups. You always see the final price before you buy.

Are the companies you work with reputable?

Yes. We partner only with established, financially stable warranty administrators with strong track records for paying claims. All providers in our marketplace are vetted before being listed.

Do I need to create an account to get a quote?

No account is required to get a quote or compare plans โ€” just enter your vehicle info. At checkout, you'll provide your name, email, phone, address, and payment info to create your policy.

Pricing & Payment

How does billing work?

You pay a down payment today to activate your plan. After that, you are billed monthly for the remaining balance. Both the down payment and monthly amount are shown clearly before you purchase โ€” no surprises.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. Your payment is processed securely through our PCI-compliant payment system. All card data is transmitted over 256-bit SSL encryption and is never stored on our servers.

Can I pay in full instead of monthly?

Some providers offer a pay-in-full option at a discount. If you'd like to pay your plan in full, contact us after purchase and we'll work with the provider to accommodate your request.

Does getting a quote affect my credit score?

No. Getting a warranty quote does not require a credit check and has absolutely no effect on your credit score.

Coverage & Claims

What is the difference between Powertrain, Comprehensive, and Exclusionary coverage?

Powertrain covers your engine, transmission, and drive axles โ€” the most critical components. Comprehensive adds electrical systems, steering, brakes, suspension, A/C, and more. Exclusionary covers nearly everything mechanical and electrical โ€” only a short list of items are excluded.

What repair shops can I use?

Most plans allow any ASE-certified repair facility in the U.S., including dealerships, chain shops, and independent mechanics. Your policy documents will specify the exact requirements.

What is the deductible?

Most plans carry a $100 deductible per repair visit, meaning you pay $100 and the warranty covers the rest of approved repairs. Some plans offer $0 or $200 deductibles.

Are wear-and-tear items covered?

No. Standard maintenance items that wear out over time โ€” like brake pads, tires, wiper blades, oil, and filters โ€” are not covered. These are considered routine maintenance.

How do I file a claim?

Take your vehicle to any covered repair shop. Have the shop call the claims number listed in your policy documents before starting any repairs. The warranty company will work directly with the shop to authorize and pay for covered repairs.

How long does a claim take to process?

Most claims are approved or denied within a few hours of the repair facility calling in. Complex claims may take 1โ€“2 business days. The shop will keep your vehicle until authorization is received.

Plans & Eligibility

What vehicles are eligible?

Most gas-powered personal vehicles model year 2000 or newer with fewer than 200,000 miles qualify. Many hybrids are also eligible. Electric vehicles and commercial vehicles are generally not eligible. Enter your vehicle details to see what plans are available.

Is a waiting period required?

Yes. Most plans require a 30-day / 1,000-mile waiting period after purchase before coverage begins. This is a standard industry requirement that protects against pre-existing conditions.

What is the 30-day money-back guarantee?

If you are not satisfied for any reason, cancel within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of all premiums paid. No questions asked.

Can I cancel my plan after 30 days?

Yes. You can cancel at any time. After 30 days, you will receive a pro-rated refund based on the unused portion of your coverage term, minus any claims that have been paid.

Is roadside assistance included?

Some plans include roadside assistance โ€” check the plan details when comparing. It is available as an add-on on most plans and typically covers towing, battery jump-start, flat tire, lockout service, and fuel delivery.
